It really depends on the person. Some people like the look of wood. However, some people love zero maintenance. If you are the type that likes zero maintenance but likes the look of modern plastic… then get a plastic shed.

This depends on if you prefer metal or wood. These days, the quality of metal is so good and they do not rust like they used to. They also come in handsome colours now instead of the classic puke green old school sheds. A metal shed will last much longer than a wooden shed and also with zero maintenance.

Flat pack sheds Ireland do need a foundation. When I say a foundation, I do not mean a 12 inch thick slab of concrete. However, it does need concrete (a few inches thick) or tarmac or paving slabs at the very least. We also recommend a membrane be placed on the foundation to prevent condensation in the shed during the winter.

The best foundation is a concrete pad. A concrete pad that is level. A level pad ensures that there is no stress on the shed and the doors and everything will be straight. Good foundations are also tarmac and paving slabs that are flat.
